Wash, clay bar, wax, get mad over water spots, get water spots off car windows (50/50 water and white vinegar mix zaps them), collapse from exhaustion. Surprisingly, I think this car is easier to hand wash and detail than the 3 was. Except for today:

Anyway, some iPotato 6 Plus pictures (with my wife’s CX-5 creeping in the background - I think it was jealous).
Clay.
The roof had the most conaminants in the paint.
Not perfect (water spots), but it’s not a show car. I’m pretty proud.
Still haven’t gotten word from Mazda on when my replacement seat cover will be in, which is annoying. They have ordered it, though. In the meantime, the car (other than that) is still doing great. I have slight buyer’s remorse in that having a car payment and budgeting for one absolutely blows, but oh well.

It is amazing how good you can get a car looking with with clay bars and wax. Beautiful car by the way!
I also made use of the day and did a wash, clay bar, bunch of bottles of stuff, elbow grease, wax, more wax, and finally felt finished around time for a late lunch.

Me: I’m washing the 4Runner today.
Wife: It’s not even dirty.
Me: Umm, yes it is. (It hasn’t been washed since October.)
Wife: Yeah, maybe in your head!
Me:
I got it washed and put RainX on the windshield, but the temp was dropping and time was limited so the clay and wax will have to wait a couple of weeks...
Even when it’s a rush job, it makes me feel good to wash the car. It’s cheap therapy.

Looks awesome! The 6 is such a great looking car. I hosed 2 of the 3 vehicles yesterday. Need to wash the wife’s today.
